Clarksville Police Department Launches New Bike Patrol Unit

On a warm summer day in Clarksville, you are sure to see plenty of activity along the Ohio River Greenway. The Town of Clarksville finished its portion of the trail in 2019, allowing walkers and bicyclists to travel through Jeffersonville, Clarksville, and New Albany. Between the completion of the Greenway and the recent COVID epidemic, Town officials have noticed a rise in the number of visitors.

Luxury Townhomes and Apartments Planned for Downtown Clarksville

A local company has proposed the development of 200 multifamily luxury apartments and townhomes in the new Downtown Clarksville area. Known as Current812, the project will include a 4,300 square foot, two-story rooftop restaurant, a resort-style pool, gourmet grilling stations, fire pits, clubhouse, fitness center, pet spa and dog park, a fifth-floor resident pavilion with iconic views of both Downtown Louisville and the Ohio River.

Clarksville Police Claim Victory in “Battle of the Badges” Blood Drive

The challenge was simple. Which department, Clarksville Police or Clarksville Fire, could get more area residents to donate blood to the Red Cross during a special blood drive on June 23rd in Clarksville. Both departments went to work reaching out to the community in hopes of claiming victory and supporting a great cause. In the end, it was the Clarksville Police Department that came out on top.
